THE DESIGN

Flora Gardens is a housing & school redevelopment on a spacious-green conservation area site that runs parallel to Ravenscourt Park underground in Hammersmith. The proposals reimagine the site with a new 2FE school at the centre, surrounded by revitalised playgrounds and retained mature trees. New housing would be carefully added to the site edges, sheltering the school, shaping a vibrant new edge to the outside world, and forming attractive-centrally located, 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom homes.

Flora Gardens is a BPTW project that Pete Woodford led between 2020-2022 whilst working at BPTW. Pete was key to the bid submission, detailed design of the housing and was responsible for managing the consultant team who were appointed by BPTW.
