THE DESIGN
A bespoke, partially excavated, 2-bedroom courtyard house, that repurposes a spacious but poorly used existing back garden site. The proposals create an ultra-modern, highly sustainable home that will have minimal impact on the neighbours. All internal spaces are shaped around a central courtyard, providing much of the natural lighting whilst ensuring complete privacy.
OUR ROLE
Studio Woodford undertook detailed proposals for a site owned by their director. The proposals explore the best way of transforming undervalued back garden land in a way that has minimal impact on the neighbours and sets a positive precedent for adjacent sites.
