THE DESIGN
The Marleigh phase 3 bid explored a dramatic alternative for the last phase of the partially delivered Marleigh masterplan. The design uplifted numbers, whilst optimising the quality of the new homes by capitalising on the adjacent greenbelt setting. The proposals would create a range of 2 & 3 storey houses, with those to the far west of the site being woodland properties that invite the green belt in – thereby proposing a new garden city housing typology to this vibrant part of Cambridge.
